Features
- Control arrivals, departures, taxiing aircraft, pushbacks, and runway operations
- Issue clearances using an interface designed around the flow of real ATC work
- Manage aircraft across the runway, taxiway, apron, gates, and traffic pattern
- Keep track of multiple aircraft whose routes and intentions can conflict
- Work through changing traffic levels and increasingly demanding shifts
- Operate the airport during day, dusk, and night conditions
- Watch aircraft use taxi lights, landing lights, navigation lights, strobes, and beacons after dark
- Experience a stylized tropical airport from a fixed tower viewpoint
- Balance realism with approachable, game-focused pacing
Under the hood
Simulation
- Dedicated simulation engine. Thousands of automated tests cover the traffic logic, ground movement, phraseology, and scoring.
- Deterministic by design. A saved shift reloads to exactly the state you left.
- Accurate ground movement. Aircraft route across an actual taxiway graph with block reservations, deadlock detection, pushback geometry, and opposite-direction passing on wide taxiways.
- Real-world systems. Intersecting-runway rules, ATIS derivation, and spacing logic modeled from real world operations.
Voice and audio
- Every radio call is spoken, generated at runtime. A custom text-to-speech pipeline built on a neural voice model, GPU-accelerated where the hardware allows, with a CPU path on everything else. No canned phrase library.
- Hand-curated aviation pronunciation. Callsigns, fixes, and numbers run through a bespoke pronunciation dictionary, so "Cessna one-seven-two-Sierra-Papa" sounds like a pilot, not a GPS.
- Pilots step on each other. Overlapping transmissions clip, back off, and retry, resulting in frequency congestion you can hear.
- Procedural engine audio. Spool-up, taxi pitch that tracks ground speed, and reverse thrust driven by the reverser-deploy event.
- Fully positional mix with per-aircraft Doppler, distance falloff, and separate profiles for jets, light jets, turboprops, and pistons.
Graphics and performance
- Purpose-written shaders: procedural asphalt with edge erosion into terrain, jet exhaust heat haze, animated water, foliage wind, and airfield light glow.
- Shader pre-warm at load eliminates first-time stutter when an aircraft, effect, or weather state appears for the first time.
- Day, dusk, and night are separately authored and baked, with runway edge, REIL, and obstruction lighting and nav-light glare.
- Hand-optimized models with distance variants and light impostors so a busy field remains smooth.
